About this policy
Needle Drop is a free music player designed by Beibei Zhang. This policy describes the current hosted web preview. Last updated: October 28, 2026.
Local playback
The page, music, and artwork are downloaded from the hosting provider. The music is played locally on your device. The app does not require an account and contains no advertising or analytics SDKs. It does not proactively collect or upload personal data.
Playback position, the current selection, and diagnostic events stay in memory for the current page session. The app does not save this playback history to an account or send it to a server. Refreshing or closing the page resets this session state.
Website hosting and external services
The hosting provider receives normal web requests for the page, music, and artwork and may process request information, such as an IP address and request logs, to deliver those files. This local playback design does not mean that every part of the hosting or network connection processes no data.
The app includes optional links to a portfolio, music sources, and license information. Opening those links takes you to external websites, whose own privacy policies apply. If you choose to email support, your email provider processes the message, and Beibei Zhang receives the information you choose to send. Please do not include passwords or other sensitive information.
Support emails and deletion requests
If you voluntarily email support, Beibei Zhang uses the information you send only to respond to and handle your request. Support emails are retained only for as long as needed to handle the request and any necessary follow-up, unless a longer retention period is required to meet legal obligations. You can request deletion of your support emails and the personal information you provided by emailing beibeizhang1122@gmail.com. Beibei Zhang will handle your request and delete information that no longer needs to be retained, except where retention is required by legal obligations.
Reporting a problem
Tell us what you expected, what happened, and which device and browser you were using. If useful, include the steps that led to the issue or a screenshot. You do not need to collect technical logs. Please leave out passwords and sensitive personal information.
If a mechanical sound is missing, you can mention whether it happened after refreshing the page or when returning to the same record. This helps distinguish a new playback session from reopening a record that is already selected.
Music credits
For the composer, original sources, licenses, and processing details for all 24 tracks, return to Music Credits & Design in the app.
